98 Gram Egg
I like my eggs beaten...not stirred
This monster beat the previous record of 92 grams
I feel very sorry for the little layer than squeezed this giant bum nut out it's jaxy!
How are the colours in my hipstamatic shot?! bang - best when one doesn't try at all!

THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING SILLY
Not to take too much creative licence from dear Mr Wilde, without whom we would not have some of the world's greatest wittiest quips; today I was reminded of the importance of being silly. I overheard my 2-year-old daughter making repeated fart noises (I assume with her mouth), over the dulcet tones of a play school in the background. I repeated her noises (with my mouth) and we had a silly sound off. Rolled around on the floor laughing. Time and space disappeared into the ether or at least into a space not measured by linear time and I cried with happiness. I didn't really cry. I could have if I didn't need to get the breakfast dishes cleaned up and Matilda off to kindy by 9:30. But taking the time to be ridiculously silly was a highlight of my day. I think I really like being silly. Its probably why I like being tipsy. Its like it gives adults (or me) licence to be silly. I don't want a licence I just want to do it, frequently and with gusto. Recently I spent some time with some kids who were beautifully silly, cheeky, clever and a little bit naughty. Their mother was constantly reigning in their silliness, understandably so, because if someone doesn't keep things sane they would undoubtedly starve and walk around in dirty clothes and have no home to live in because the bills would not get paid, However,I do hope that mummy is a silly billy on occasion. I am sure she is. I think often we try to control our kids way more in public than we do at home, to remind ourselves and others around us that our children are not (always) montrous cretins with no boundaries or respect for others. They can often be confused for this in my experience. I must qualify that I never ever judge another parents, at least I try very hard not to. I just will for a little silliness in the day. The world can be a very serious place so the lighter we are, and with our children in particular, the better. Algernon Moncrieff and Cecily Cardew would agree I am sure.

conspicuous by absence
two weeks have elapsed and BB is back. She's been a busy gal. Its wedding fest love season after all and the world is hectic with a buzz worthy of a Manhattan afternoon in the pouring rain. Interesting to note that the busier I am the less inspired I am to write. Holding true to the very premise of this blog. I have learned how to find inspiration in the mundane. It is what gets me through an otherwise relatively dull day. Days are no longer dull at the present...so where does one get inspiration from? No idea right now but here are a few cool things I've picked up over the last week...things that have BAKED MY NOODLE
(Ǎhk-to͝ong Bāy-bi) Covered is a rather radical album with proceeds going to CHARITY. U2 covers by radical artists. Awesome background music swathed in nostalgia for us 90s babies to bask in.

Mental Miele and the Domestic Goddess
As I dive into the trusty Miele clothes dryer after days and days of rain I relish the joy of using this eco-nasty devise again. It makes life as Director General of my household one million times easier. As Director General, Chief of Procurement and Head of Internal Operations, I would be encouraging any and all of my employees (nil at this point) to use whatever devises made their work more efficient. Why do I feel guilt when using the clothes dryer? Because dryers create an obscene and exorbitant amount of carbon evil nasty non-renewable energy type things and they are SO not cool these days. My conscience suffers but my mind is eased by the fact that I CAN STAY ON TOP OF THE WASHING at least on a rainy day...when I use my trusty clothes dryer. You put it in. You pull it out. Fold it. Put it away. Done. The last few lines sounded a bit like lyrics to a country music song. I digress. When I was growing up our dear Swiss friends who lived around the corner always used their trusty Miele clothes dryer, even on the hottest of days. They always had the fluffiest towels and most softly laundered swiss cotton sheets. Maybe I have subconsciously yearned for Euro style laundering since my young days and this is my adult manifestation. I now officially let go of the guilt I have when I use my trusty clothes dryer and wholeheartedly embrace the ease and efficiency the good people at the ancient house of Miele intended when they created such a labour saving device. THANK YOU geniuses who make this particularly dreary and repetitive part of my day so much easier. My hat goes off to the peeps without these devices and I praise the Lord, Buddha, Jehova God and Jesus for the fact that I am fortunate enough to own one.
One load done, four to go, way to go mum.
